Certification of products
We have a long-established track record of helping our partners navigate quality certification for food and industrial products across international markets.
Certification and declaration of conformity for food products is the formal process of verifying that goods comply with the applicable quality standards — both domestically and in export markets. Food products form the foundation of human wellbeing, supplying essential energy, vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals, trace elements, organic acids, and enzymes. Because health is directly tied to what we consume, food products must not only meet taste expectations but be provably safe for human consumption and the broader environment.
To safeguard consumers from substandard goods, legislation requires manufacturers to formally attest to the quality and safety of their products through mandatory conformity declarations. These requirements serve as an effective market filter against inferior goods.
Product quality certification is a structured verification procedure that results in the issuance — or denial — of a certificate confirming that a product meets applicable standards. This document, variously known as a quality certificate or certificate of conformity, is a comprehensive declaration that a product is safe for human health and the environment. It specifies the product, manufacturer, and validity period.
Why product quality certification matters
As technical progress brings ever-increasing use of synthetic materials
in manufacturing, some producers cut corners at the expense of safety
and quality standards. Certification provides an independent check that
goods entering the market are genuinely safe. Consumers gain confidence,
while honest manufacturers gain a measurable competitive edge — certified
goods consistently outperform uncertified equivalents in demand.
How the certification process works
Quality certificates are issued by accredited certification bodies —
both public and private. The process begins with laboratory testing of
product samples and a review of technical documentation; the specific
requirements vary by product category. Laboratory test results form the
basis of a test report, which the authorised body uses to determine
whether a quality certificate should be issued.
A certificate of conformity confirms that a product's quality, safety, and other characteristics meet the requirements of the relevant regulatory framework. Issued by an accredited body on an official form, it is applicable to both imported goods and products manufactured domestically.
For certification of imported products, the product code must be known and manufacturer documentation confirming quality must be provided. For certain product categories, a regulatory document specifying product requirements is also mandatory.
Conformity certification may be issued for a single production batch or for ongoing serial production and import, with validity periods of 2 to 5 years. Batch certification covers a defined quantity and serial range of already-produced or imported products and is suited to one-off deliveries. Continuous production or import requires serial production certification. Our experts will help you select the most suitable option in terms of scope and cost.
Third-party conformity certification is often a prerequisite for tenders, retail listings, supermarket chains, and distribution networks — both locally and in export markets.
A quality certificate issued by the manufacturer for a product batch attests that quality and safety indicators comply with state standards and applicable regulatory documents. Sometimes referred to as a manufacturer's declaration, it requires the producer to specify their own quality indicators. Food manufacturers typically require such a document for each individual delivery.
Genuine testing and certification is the most straightforward path to recognised quality status for your food or industrial products.
Our specialists manage the entire certification preparation process — from initial testing through to certificate issuance — covering all major certification types:
- Preparation and review of all required documentation.
- Submission of documents to the relevant certification authorities.
